Children’s Ministries

“Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

The First Baptist Church believes that investing in children from an early age is one of the best investments we could make in the Kingdom of God. Since children are the future of Christ’s church we take seriously Jesus’ commandment of loving them and leading them to Jesus so that in return they would lead others to Him and become future leaders and responsible citizens.

Here are some of the things that we offer for the kids:

Sunday Child Care

Childcare is available during Sunday School and the Sunday Morning Service for infants up to 24 months. Parents, bring your children. We take pleasure in taking good care of them.

Children’s Sunday School

Sunday morning children’s classes for nursery to 6th grade. Always practical, always exciting.

Children’s Church

During morning worship service kids have their own time of worship and learning the Bible. Our teachers have a strong personal relationship with Jesus and love working with kids.

A.R.K. (Always Reaching Kids) – Wednesday nights

Parents, you must come and check out this program!

On Wednesday evenings (Fall to Spring) children are invited to come and enjoy this full program of games, Bible lessons, Scripture memorization and more. For more information and registration (beginning August 1), please click here.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Every summer, for 5 days (Monday to Friday) in the month of June we have this special program for the kids ages 4 to 12. The week concludes on Saturday with a carnival and a special program attended by the family members and friends of the kids.

This year’s theme was “Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God”

Each day, kids participated in small groups, called Crews, and discovered what it meant to stand strong for God! Not only did they experience epic Bible adventures but they also watched for God in everyday life through something called God Sightings™.

Kingdom Rock was filled with unforgettable Bible-learning experiences; team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats that kept everyone on the move. The Lord blessed our church this year with an average of 160 kids per day and we received the help of 69 volunteers. GLORY TO GOD!!!

Parents, plan to register your child for next year’s VBS! We will let you know as soon as registration becomes available for the summer of 2014. For more information contact the church office.
